Growing Edibles In A Vertical Garden
UBC Farm, 3461 Ross Drive, Vancouver, British Columbia, V6T1W5, Canada
Transform fences, walls, and balconies into thriving edible gardens! In this workshop, we’ll explore the opportunities and benefits of vertical gardening in small urban spaces. Learn about different systems and techniques for growing vegetables, berries, and herbs vertically, with lots of visual examples for inspiration. We’ll cover key design considerations — like watering, weight, light, and plant choice — to help you create a successful and sustainable garden. You’ll leave with a pocket planter and seedling to kickstart your own indoor or outdoor vertical oasis.
